Workshop Description:

Learn what elements make up a storytime and expand your capacity to delivery quality storytime programs.

 What resources are available to assist in the process and how to develop a storytime for toddlers versus preschoolers. 

Sample topics we will cover include:

-philosophy of storytime (why we do it, why we chose the age ranges, why we do family storytime)

-finding resources

-repetition is okay

-pacing

-themes are optional

-parental involvement

-discipline issues

-openings/closings

-incorporating things from other cultures

You'll take home everything you need to do one storytime except for the book titles.
