Workshop Description:

 

 

 

 

This class will take front line library staff through some of the basics of searching on-line databases. The session is for beginners, who don't often have to help patrons with reference requests. The session will work through some of the more common periodical databases that libraries have, and explain subject searching and terminology, Boolean searching, and limiting searches.

The databases that will be presented may include: EBSCOhost, Gale, General Reference Center, Gold Proquest, OCLC, WorldCat.
