What is your overall evaluation of today’s
training?
- Very helpful and interesting!
- I enjoyed it. I went away with some ideas that I never thought of and some that I have.
- OK. The first presenter seemed to cover a lot of points that seem self-ardent.

How would you rate the instructor in terms of
knowledge and presentation style?
- Good and knowledgeable about their topics. Kay exceptionally good!
- Kay – I really enjoyed her talk about her experiences.
- The first presenter may want to have handouts and try to determine audience needs.
- All well informed.
- Good – (2 answered just “good”).
- The instructors, I thought, were knowledgeable in the given topics of the trainings.
- All presenters were very knowledgeable.
- Kay Sodowsky was very informative.
- The best, in my opinion, were Kay and Kaite, though they all did a good job. These presented a lot of useful information in an engaging style.
- All were quite knowledgeable about their subject.

- Use a variety of types of literature – novels, poetry.
- Maybe forming a book club.
- Will be discussing Plainsong.

- Virtual book groups.

Was there enough opportunity for interaction and
participation?
- Yes – (9 answered just “yes”).
- No – (2 answered just “no”).
- The format was not conducive to participation, but that is okay with me.
- That was the one think lacking. We did not have much of a chance to interact with each other.
- Not really. Would have liked a more open discussion of other’s methods.
- Format seemed more of a lecture, not interactive.
- Yes, but barely. Needed a bit more time between presenters.
- Yes, after facilitation with Kay we had question and answer and then with Kaite.
- Yes, questions were encouraged.
- Not much, but okay with me.

Did the tutorials, slide show and/or handouts
help you learn the materials?
- Yes – (11 answered just “yes”).
- Gave me something to reflect upon when I get back.
- Handouts and slides good. Not all used them.
- Yes, but I do not see the Mortm website. I probably can find it via Google.
- The PowerPoint was a nice change of format.
- Yes, the handouts will be a useful reference when organizing book groups.
- Yes. Will be good for later review.
- Not really, but a nice visual diversion.
- Yes, will keep for quick reviews. Lots of handouts.
- Yes, they were very helpful. Handouts are always so good.
- Liked handouts, helps with note taking and review information.

How could your training experience been
improved?
- Tighter presentation and good full handouts to look at.
- More Q&A, less lecture. More sharing of others experience.
- Not much of a chance to interact with each other.
- More discussion.
- It would have been nice to have an actual book discussion. Could have included title of a small book to be discussed in the workshop announcement.
- Possibly a video clip of an actual book club in “action”.
- More written suggestions on how to pick books for discussion.

What other training topics might help you to do
your job better?
- Some advertising help.
- Genre presentations.
- Ideas of how to connect books and readers.
- “Now It’s Time To Say Goodbye…”, how to convince supervisors to retire.
- “Excuse Me, But You’ve Got a Smudge On Your Nose”, how to deal with brown-nosers.
- “Can You Hear Me Now?”, what to do when co-workers refuse to wear hearing aids.
- More YA references.
- Working with YA readers.
