Do you need some fresh ideas to help resolve library workplace issues?

This course, authored by noted library and organization consultant Pat Wagner, is based on proven theories of communication. In just an hour or two, this course will give you some fresh perspective on strengthening communication weaknesses in your library, along with some practical tools to tackle specific co-worker problems you may be worrying about today.



COURSE OBJECTIVES

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the different communication techniques of fellow worker
  • Evaluate when a problem is a personal issue, versus a personnel issue
  • Discover ways to realistically cope with difficult situations
  • Criticize one another effectively, in a creative and positive atmosphere

  • Realize that different ideas often lead to positive outcome, even if we don't see it at the time

The course addresses these issues and more in a web-based course designed to take about 1 1/2 hours to complete. It contains multimedia elements, external links, pre- and post-tests, and course evaluation modules
