Reciprocal Borrowing
 

The Kansas City Metropolitan Library and Information Network support and encourage reciprocal borrowing from all of our KCMLIN members.  The collaboration and sharing of KCMLIN members has created a strong library foundation.  All libraries joining KCMLIN are expected to provide reciprocal borrowing for all other KCMLIN members.  A library may “opt out” of reciprocal borrowing.  If a library chooses to “opt out”, libraries in KCMLIN are not expected to loan to this library at no charge.  

At this time, all KCMLIN libraries are a part of the reciprocal borrowing agreement except for KU Med Center.  Libraries who borrow from KU Med Center Library should expect a charge. Libraries who loan items to KU Med Center Library can charge the library if they choose.
