Lissa Lord, Lissa received a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Michigan and began her professional career at Washburn University School of Law, Library. As Computer Librarian she learned basic text programming for the Internet and in 1994, with the release of the Mosaic graphical web browser, HTML became the written language around this innovative library. As Team Leader for Electronic Research at the University of Iowa's Main Library, Lissa helped develop subject specific online research packages for professors and their classes. The next stop on her professional journey was the UMKC law school library where she served as the Director of Electronic Communications, and continued research and implementation of legal resources online. Today, Lissa is the Reference Librarian (part-time) at Regents Center Library on the Edwards Campus of the University of Kansas. Here she teaches research skills and has developed the popular Dissertation Research Blog <http://dissertationresearch.blogspot.com/> as a resource for graduate students at the Edwards Campus. Her latest project is the fresh and informative Twitter site for the library that sits at <http://twitter.com/LibraryKUEC>.




Brent Husher is the new Library Instruction Coordinator in the University of Missouri - Kansas City ,Miller Nichols Library. Brent's past metropolitan area library experience includes: MCC - Longview, Kansas City Public Library, University of Kansas Medical Center and Mid-Continent Public Library. Mr. Husher earned his MA in Information Science and Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Bachelor of Science in Socio Political Communication from Missouri State University.

Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made a minimum of seven days prior to the workshop minus a $5.00 administrative fee. You can transfer to another workshop a minimum of seven days before the workshop with no administrative fee. Cancellations made less than seven days prior to a workshop receive no refunds or credits.
