Event Title: MARRT - Poetry Workshop
Where: Linda Hall
Thursday, April 23, 2009
Time: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM CST
Description:

Does the thought of discussing poetry with a patron make you wish you'd chosen a different profession? Ever wonder what a Poet Laureate is, and why we need one, anyway? And what about this poetry slam stuff? Join three local poets and learn why they write it, why people read and listen to it, and how you can promote it at your library.

Develop your libraries poetry collection:

- core lists of recommended poetry titles
- poetry publishers large and small
- keeping up with new poetry titles
