Jay and Leslie have been professional variety performers based in Kansas City for 25 years. As "Jay & Leslie's Laughing Matters" they have give over 6000 performances in 33 states and 7 foreign countries. They use juggling, mime, and other skills for schools and libraries. Every year they develop a program to go with the Summer Reading program theme. For the 2009 theme "Be Creative @ Your library" their show will be "Jay and Leslie's United Imaginations."
For us, Jay and Leslie will do a short performance followed by a discussion of how to design activities to integrate with a Summer Reading Theme.
